Microsoft Bites
Ok, if you know me at all, you know I have a strong dislike for Microsoft and their products. I’m sure the people are great… I realize we use their stuff for almost everything… but they’re dumb.
Bill Gates recently addressed a bunch of technology, business and entertainment folks at the TED conference. He was speaking on Malaria and it’s impact in the world and, as an illustration, opened a jar of mosquitos and let them loose in the auditorium. Excellent way to communicate your point, Mr. Gates! (I’m serious. I think it was awesome).
But I also think it had numerous parallels to Microsoft products:
1. They’re buggy
2. They’re annoying
3. They suck your blood through over-priced products and market minipulation
4. They come out of a jar with no respect to the outside world
5. Doesn’t matter how much you don’t like them or how much they sting you… they will be around forever. everywhere. always.
